The secret battery trick

Kane's personal hack for battery life

Go to Settings → Screen Time → Turn On Screen Time. Even if you don't use it fully, the battery usage stats alone are gold.

Go to Settings → Battery. You'll see exactly which apps are draining your battery — most people are shocked it's not what they thought.

Anything you don't use at the top of that list? Delete it. Proper battery killer, most of them.

The trick Kane uses for peace and quiet

Never be disturbed again

Swipe down from the top-right corner to open Control Centre.

Tap the moon icon — that's Focus / Do Not Disturb. It stops everything except calls from your favourite contacts.

Kane's personal tip: set it to turn on automatically at 10pm in Settings → Focus → Do Not Disturb → Add Schedule. Bliss.

The camera trick pros use

Your photos are about to get way better

Open the Camera and look for the little 3:4 or ratio icon at the top. Switch it to 16:9 for landscape shots that look properly cinematic.

For portraits: tap anywhere on screen first to focus. The box appears. Then half-press (or just hold your finger steady) before tapping the shutter. Much sharper.

Secret Kane move: use the volume down button as the shutter — less camera shake, crisper photos. You're welcome.
